Blues Blast Music Awards, les nommés

On connaît désormais les nommés de la dix-septième édition des Blues Blast Music Awards, qui portent sur une période allant du 1^er juin 2023 au 31 mai 2024. Ils ont été choisis par un collectif comprenant des critiques musicaux, des journalistes, des organisateurs de festivals, des gérants de salles de spectacles, des musiciens et d’autres professionnels de l’industrie musicale. Ces Awards comptent vingt-trois catégories et apparaissent plus « ouverts » que d’autres du genre, avec à mon sens un meilleur équilibre entre les représentants des différentes générations. Les valeurs sûres et autres vétérans sont certes bien présents, avec notamment Rick Estrin, Fiona Boyes, Johnny Burgin, Nick Moss, John Primer, Bob Corritore, Marcel Smith, Eddie Cotton, Mike Zito, Coco Montoya, JP Soars, Sue Foley, Tinsley Ellis, Doug MacLeod, Mick Kolassa, Eric Bibb, The Cash Box Kings, Bobby Rush…

Mais les plus jeunes et les révélations figurent aussi en nombre : Selwyn Birchwood, Monster Mike Welch, Eddie Cotton, Nic Clark, Christone « Kingfish » Ingram, D.K. Harrell, Mathias Lattin, Nicholas Alexander, Mr. Sipp, Harrell « Young Rell » Davenport, Candice Ivory, Stephen Hull… En outre, vous pouvez influer sur les résultats, car à compter de ce 15 juillet 2024, ce vote est ouvert à tous et gratuitement à cette adresse jusqu’au 31 août. Le site de la revue hebdomadaire en ligne précise qu’il n’y aura pas de cérémonie cette année, mais le palmarès sera bien proclamé à l’issue des votes.
